Now in its 19th year, IAFDS continues to build on the strong foundation established by previous successful meetings held across various European cities.
This year’s symposium is jointly organised by the Universities of Leeds and Cagliari, hosted at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy.

The 19th IAFDS will be held at Università degli Studi di Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy. IAFDS will begin on Sunday, 14 June 2026, with a student workshop on “Responsible Use of Generative AI in Research”, hosted by Professors Charlie Cai from the University of Liverpool and Robert Faff, Corvinus University, followed by a welcome reception. Day 1 of the symposium begins on Monday, 15 June, followed by a gala dinner in the evening. The symposium will conclude on Tuesday, 16 June. You can view information about the local area here.

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the contents of the student welcome pack, as this information will allow you to plan your trip and presentation.
